LOGAN PARKER is the Associate Director of Bands at J.T. Hutchinson Middle School in Lubbock, Texas. This is his first year at Hutch and his first year in the profession. Mr. Parker holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Texas Tech University, where he studied saxophone with Professors David Dees and Stephen Jones. He performed with the TTU Symphonic Band, Jazz ensembles, Goin’ Band from Raiderland, and various saxophone ensembles. In addition to his studies, Mr. Parker gave private lessons, taught supplementally in local schools, and worked as a manager of the stage crew in the School of Music. 


Mr. Parker completed his student teaching at Frenship High School and Heritage Middle School in Wolfforth, TX. He was a recipient of the TMEA Student Teaching Scholarship and the TMEA Collegiate Music Educator Award. Mr. Parker also holds professional affiliations with TMEA, NAFME, OAKE, and the Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity Alumni Association. 

 

In his spare time, he enjoys teaching private lessons, pursuing a Master of Music Education in the summers, spending time with his dog and cat (Sally and George), and baking.
